Target AudienceThis event is for educators interested in effective and meaningful reflection practices to apply to their classes, service learning experiences, experiential learning, and more. AboutIn these two workshops, participants will learn about and practice different approaches to reflection for learning, especially in contexts that are experiential or that focus on learning for civic responsibility and social justice. PresenterAmanda Munroe is a facilitator and educational consultant based in New York City. Amanda works with educational and faith-based institutions to build reflective and experiential learning projects, often focusing on community engagement and social justice. She worked for seven years directing mission integration and community based learning at Georgetown University’s Center for Social Justice Research, Teaching, and Service, where she developed partnerships, immersion experiences, social justice courses, and racial justice initiatives. Amanda is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity at Union Theological Seminary. She holds an MA in Conflict Resolution with a focus on Peace Pedagogy from Georgetown University and a BA in Global Studies & French from North Park University.
