Dear Friends,
“Covid fatigue” is real! It is being experienced by all of us in very different ways, and rears its ugly head in waves of intensity. Here at ISEEN we are acutely aware of it and are planning a few sessions for next week that will hopefully provide some insight and relief.
In the meantime, I hope you are taking a moment to focus on what has been going on with ISEEN last week and this week. These two weeks showcase ISEEN at its best- collaborating and sharing. Last week we gathered to brainstorm ideas about creating a guide for our students to be able to self-author and curate their own meaningful ex ed experiences. Two days later we gathered to share ideas and strategies about Fall orientation programs in light of possible public health restrictions/constraints. This week some of our member schools are showcasing creative ways in which they have responded to Covid-19 in their schools. Collaboration and sharing have always been at the core of ISEEN, and they are truly a sustaining force in these trying times. We hope you feel the same way.
As this unique school year comes to a close, we are also starting to look ahead, and planning to wind down our weekly free online programming by the end of May. Our final virtual events will be focused on deep reflection and concrete takeaways about how to proceed as we and the rest of the world reimagine education. In June we will shift our focus to our first ever online Summer Teachers Institute.
We enjoy seeing all of you in our sessions, as we slowly put this crisis-response phase behind us and walk wide-eyed and ready into the next.
Experientially yours,
PS - Recordings of both virtual MPP sessions will be made available to members who were unable to attend.
